The Forest Administration of Gheorgheni has made investments in a number of fields of activities in order to improve efficiency, increase of productivity and accuracy of labour at several working phases.

Up to the present days the biggest investment was made in updating the IT equipments in the office and adopting the innovative technologies to field works such as stand inventory and filing timber stock by using specially designed programs for this purpose.
In order to carry out these investments the Forest Administration of Gheorgheni received support from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology that financed the project together with the World Bank.
There are several projects in the evaluation phase today aiming the following fields of implementation:

• creating new job facilities to carry out several silvicultural operations
• organizing silvicultural conferences

Furthermore the Forest Administration of Gheorgheni is an executive project partner in an afforestation project endeavoring to bring back to productivity the lands degraded by intensive forest pasture.
