Forest guarding

Today the forest area administered by the Forest Administration of Gheorgheni is of 23.427 hectrares, 15.082 hectares of which makes up the forest fund and 8.345 is afforested pasture that is under the territorial administration of Suseni, Ciumani, Joseni, Praid, Vărşag, Lăzarea, Remetea, Topliţa, Bilbor, Borsec, Corbu and Tulgheş.

According to the table below the forest area is divided into 4 districts and 28 forest ranges:

Cases of law breaking are reduced in number, considerable illegal cuttings were not traced on the areas administered by the Forest Administration of Gheorgheni.
